I don't know how to help him... he's in a bad place, and it's very real, but what do I know of his world? I'm seventeen and I still live under my parents' roof, how can I possibly understand?
And this just makes me think all the more, that when all of you leave your cushy lives of financial stability with your families, you might not like that fucking bitch Ayn Rand so much anymore.

I believe the point is that there is a limit to individual perception; that though there are differences of opinions on most matters, we must not wade so far into existentialism as to compromise reality.
hahaha, cushy lives and Ayn Rand...nice connection...
But oh yeah, I don't really like her either, but you must admit that she is rather intelligent and brings up good points (that whole money isn't evil people are what make it evil thing I found to be quite entertaining.)
Everything has an objective state, it's not like my table can be your elephant mixed with a lion, that is unless you're utterly insane, it's just everything is slightly colored by our perceptions.
I find it interesting that the Ayn Rand comment I added as an afterthought to the main message of the post has attracted so much attention.
It's cause we don't know that guy you're talking about and frankly there are thousands of him, whereas Ayn Rand is a highly influential author...soo...
I think you may misunderstand her point about Objectivism. But I'm not much into proselytizing, so I guess I won't argue the point.
But, even if you don't believe in her ideas is no reason to call her names. That seems to be an extreme lashing-out at an author that would never have cared about your negativity.
