Although I do agree with you on the "Ewww" point, beastality is legal in this state.
In NC, it is a Class I felony, with jail times of up to 10 years.
Of course, our dear friends in Colorado indeed have no law, which probably means something, though at the moment I am too tired to decide what.
True, rashi, I looked it up and Colorado has no law against it.
But that does NOT mean that we think it's okay. Everyone I know thinks it is completely disgusting, not to mention unfair&potentially harmful to the animal.
Just because it's legal doesn't mean we do it.

The reason we don't have a law against bestiality is because no one has ever done it-or if they have they don't publicly advertise it-which contradicts itself if the op is from Colorado-so the issue has never come up. Maybe the fact that people have done it enough in your state for it to become an issue and have to pass a law against it says something about North Carolina...(Whoah...super-defensive mode for Colorado)But anyway, people in Colorado are too busy obsessing over the cool people in North Carolina to be bother with beastiality.
I would suggest you tell her how you feel about that, like PChis suggested.
I had a dream once where my 19-year old cousin had a beastiality fetish and owned his own little dog that he...yeah. But for some reason I was surprisingly accepting of it in the dream...I think I was treating it as his orientation or something. Thank goodness it was a dream, though...
